MY DAD.

He’s simply the best,

Rising up to the test,

Whenever things go wrong,

His love for me keeps me strong.

He’s simply miraculous,

He’s very tenacious,

In the best way possible,

He’s unstoppable.

He’s my role model,

He treats me so well,

He’s not a deadbeat,

Always makes sure we’re able to eat.

He’ll never know how much I love him,

Or what I wouldn’t do on a whim,

I’m simply the luckiest,

To have come from the best.

If life was a movie,

Then he’s the best part,

Protects me from bullies,

Who try to break my heart.

He started from zero,

To being my superhero,

So to all the dads out there,

Just know we love you in here.

He takes care of me when I’m sick,

And fights off sadistic pricks,

He’s set the bar,

Now I only surround myself with stars.

There’s nothing he hasn’t put to sacrifice,

Smiling despite paying the price,

May God continue to bless my dad,

In the best way he’s truly rad.

He started with nothing to his name,

Trying to transcend the game,

Refusing to remain the same,

Now he’s the one lighting the flame.

Even in doubt,

He can worry out,

Because he is very much loved,

And his efforts are very much appreciated.

He doesn’t like to see me sad,

He always rises from defeat,

So if my future man doesn’t treat me like my dad,

He can certainly go back to the streets.
