My Chance

By Sri Harshini

WHEN WILL I GET MY CHANCE?

FOR FINDING MY WAY OF HAPPINESS

MY PEACE AND MY HEAVEN

PROMISING TO STAY WITH ME FOREVER

THERE ARE NONE TO BELOVED

NONE TO CRY

MANY WISHED FOR ME TO NEVER COME BACK

MAKING ME WONDER

FROM THE REALITY

OR, FROM THE DARK

WHICH I WAS PROMISED FOREVER

IF I COULD ONLY GO

TO AN OBLIVION WORLD

WHERE NO HANDS TRY TO REACH ME

HELP ME GET THROUGH

ONLY TO PUSH ME FARTHER

INTO THAT DWELLING PIT

OF LONELINESS

I'VE COME SO FAR

ACHED SO MUCH

SO, I ASK AGAIN

WHEN WILL I EVER GET MY CHANCE?
