My Blanket of Worries

Updated: Jul 18, 2025

By Saanvi Sodhi

I lie down on bare ground,

With my blanket of worries.

Secrets seem to haunt me

Because I hate the emotional flurries.

The harsh rain intensifies my emotional turmoil,

Convincing me to shed an ocean myself.

Then comes petrichor of my heavenly soil

And becomes the fragrance of my thoughts itself.

When my heart bleeds its tension out,

The time comes to let the serenity in.

When my soul oozes the pain out,

The time comes to let the satisfaction kick in.

My mind recollects all the carefree moments then

When I would be truly smiling.

My blanket of worries melts down next,

Making me adore nature’s chiming.
