My Best Friend

Updated: Aug 2, 2025

By Umaima Areesha Ansari

You doubt yourself, my dearest friend

But in your heart a fire won’t bend.

I see the strength you try to hide,

The dreams that bloom,

The sparks inside.

Your path may seem like a twisted maze,

With dark shadows and doubtful haze.

But trust me when I tell you,

The world is waiting for your debut.

You are the sun after the storm,

A ray of light, so brave, so warm.

Though doubts may appear, loud and near,

You’re far more capable than you fear.

I see something that you can’t yet,

A future bright, a crown well set.

You’ll make it big, I have no doubt at all,

My dear, even stars take time to fall.

Through every stumble, every tear,

I will be beside you, always near.

No need for masks or armor strong,

For me you’ve been enough all along.

So hold your head high, take those strides,

Let courage be your steady guide.

And when you start flying, remember this,

You were destined for greatness and endless bliss.

I am proud of you, today and forever,

My best friend, my soul, my tether.

No mountains too tall, no valley too steep,

You’ll reach the stars and the world will weep.
