Mumbai’s Local Train

Some students returning home,

And employees caught in a syndrome.

Vendors trying to make a living,

In the scorching heat with head spinning.

Jaded people waiting for train,

Bags on shoulder and legs in pain.

Everyone rushing to their destined place,

Hurrying on the platform with tired face.

Crowded trains with people every then and now,

Everyone trying to fit in somehow.

No one stops for a second to think and observe,

How everyone is busy in their own reserve.

Each person heading to a place with a goal,

Exhausted mind with impelled soul.

Only if someone stops to glance,

At people lost in their peculiar trance.

Where no sight will go in vain,

Such a wonder is Mumbai’s local train.
