Motte en kerse

Ek dans stadig deur die brandende kamer.

Soos 'n nat strandhond lek die vlamme my hande.

Nou verstaan ek hoekom motte na geel kerse vlieg;

hoekom steenbokkies beland onder motorbande.

Ons keer terug

na dit wat ons vrees,

want ons wil vir een keer in ons lewe

net weer lewendig wees.
