Mother of Mine

Mother of mine my small hands reach out to you,

As we both watch the sunset of Malibu.

Your warmth, love and joy reminds me of a pretty summer day in a gazebo;

Your comforting presence is all I need to know.

Your beautiful laughter and twinkle eyes are ever so lovely,

No matter how much I try I can never be really angry.

Your never ending love is all I ask for,

When I look back all I need to know that you remember.

Every fight we fought is worth the bond we share today.

You are the best friend anyone can ask for,

But I shall not allow anyone to take you away for you are mother of mine and no other.

You are the strongest person I know;

Your every pain, every sacrifice didn't go in vain,

For you are today a strong woman with a mind of your own.

Every birthday is the reminder of you being a survivor,

The reminder that you are your own person first.

You are our little family's amulet;

You are peace to my ever growing soul.
