Mosaics

They are all broken,

Jagged cracks of lightning across their soul.

They know that to live is to love,

To love is to grieve;

That if they weren’t chipped,

The light of faith wouldn’t shine through.

They are all broken,

Joined together in the puzzle of life.

They know that living is believing,

In the past and what will be.

They know that they are murals

Crafted with golden compassion;

Mosaics of memories.
