Morning Musings

By Ajjarapu Neeharika

It's a bright summer morning.

My cat slept throughout the morning.

Her golden fur shone like the desert sand.

Those freckles resembled the ripe dates of the sand land.

She stretched her body lazily like a camel.

This moment was fixed as a portrait on my mind's easel.

The tropical landscape suddenly transformed into Egypt in a jiffy.

The clouds in the sky are like baked marshmallows that are fluffy.

Nature's illusions are beautiful.

They make our lives cheerful.
