Moonlight

By Sia Mishra

The windows were open,

cool winds blowin;

the curtains moved aside,

a light peeked in.

Sitting in my bed, I was

 lost in my dream;

the light then called me and

teleported me to another realm.

I realized I could fly

and rose up in the air,

my milk-white dress flowing,

 and jasmines in my hair.

I flew around

 happy and free:

suddenly found a balcony,

beside a cherry blossom tree.

I landed in the balcony

and blinked twice;

it was really familiar, as

it lighted up my eyes.

I was standing in my veranda,

the winds still blowing:

elegantly and patiently,

were the little flowers dancing.

I looked up in the air.

A silver ball sparkled in the sky.

It winked and smiled,

and then waved a goodbye.
