She stood there letting the waves caress her rosy feet,
While her flowing hair brushed her hot cheeks
Her gaze fixed upon the glistening moon,
As if it whispered secrets only she would know
she walked closer to the waves with open arms
So as to let the waves hug her, tide after tide.
But only she knew how much solace she found
In the silent moon and muffled waves,
Oh, how she longed for someone,
someone who'd paint her as she was under the shy and shimmering light,
But only the moon mourned her in silence
For, she was always and forever one with wandering waves, night after night.
