Modern Love

It was all so perfect

And that was the sign,

I knew something was incorrect

Every time I called you mine

Yet I was too caught up

In the spur of the moment

And now all sums up

With the end of your whirlwind

I was simply thrown away

Once you had enough to play

Walking far far away

Since you got nothing else left to say

Fantasies of happy endings Brought me harsh realities

To a life of pillows and walls With silent cries and no calls Love in fairytales Is just false hope The bliss of short tales Is today’s dope

In this hazy mess Even light becomes darkness Purity and innocence Are just masks with incense…
