What are you doing there sitting all pretty?

With the expression of self-doubt on your itty bitty

Face it you’re not content with situation at hand,

Thoughts in deep dark clouds, storm brewing, coming to land

The doubt in your actions speaks loudly in your words

or is it the other way around.

Oh haven’t you heard?

Listen to your gut, it won’t steer you wrong.

You just can’t see the path that it’s leading you on.

But those thoughts keep you guessing,

thinking that you messing

up… in the sky you must look to be free,

God’s staring down at you and can see.

Wants that confidence that you so lack

Stop you from looking behind your back,

at the past of all your memories.

Maybe you didn’t do good that time

But maybe you will have the chance to be.

Maybe it’s doubt about the future that’s eating you up,

This decision, that decision… BAM It’s all too much!

We all do the best with what we’ve been given

Don’t lean on the bad like you need that crutch.

If you make a mistake…. don’t worry it can happen

Moving on seems to be the answer

cuz thoughts like these will kill you like cancer

If you let it sadden.

Instead stay strong and put a smile on that pretty face.

Soon it will reflect back in that mirror

No self-doubt, gone without a trace.

Now stand up cuz talking to yourself is the actions of a basket case.

More people should talk in the mirror before going out.
