Mirror of Curses

Shards of glass, fall to the floor,

Broken forever, a piece of lore.

The once bright mirror, lost its light,

Just like my heart, at midnight.

A thousand shards enveloped in blood,

Burning a hole, through the floor

Ripping reality, and opening a door

To a world of darkness, nevermore

Where those who enter, are those who dare....

It seems we have entered the Oni's lair.

Each step forward, I feel my soul, slipping away,

Things so dark flood my sight.

A fog of darkness thicker than the night.

Wisps of light, cling to my soul

Ripping it away, turning me into a ghoul.

Every moment spent, a fragment of my soul flies off into nowhere,

It seems we have entered the Oni's lair.

Every shard of glass, reflects a piece of my past,

A timeless moment, forever to last,

A piece of time, beyond rhyme or reason,

The darkest parts of me, revealed ....

I look at my hands, tainted crimson,

And wonder 'Why am I here'?

Memories flood back, me touching a mirror,

The mirror fell

And so did I

Entering this place, where the darkness cannot be penetrated by my eye,

Where a being of Curses, watches my every move.

There is no escape, once you venture this far ....

For the Being watches, whispering into the dark,

His whispers fill my mind,

A haunting laugh, with darkness it is lined,

My sanity fades away, who knows how much longer I will fare,

It seems we have entered the Oni's lair.
