Finally , I gathered the courage to ask my ornamented mirror,

“Hey friend! Am I still as beautiful and young as ever? “

Oh God! It broke into a hundred pieces that made me jitter,

Once a bejeweled beauty , now fell with a bang and was a clutter.

I wondered, why my loyal friend behaved like a brutal foe,

It had been showing me my best forever as fas as I know,

When I was young my mother got it to show me my glow,

I became obsessed with my new friend, it never spoke although.

The fragments which lay scattered at the shapely feet,

Few had my different images to portray a sorrowful retreat,

Oh! There was a piece in which I was a little girl too sweet,

I saw a reflection of a naughty girl whom no one could defeat.

It was scary to see an image in which I looked egoistical,

Was I really that selfish or just carefree and whimsical,

A portion got stuck on the luxurious couch's handle ,

It had a face of an affluent woman who could easily vandal.

There I was ,in that heart shaped piece looking madly in love,

When I saw the shattered one, wondered why did he shove,

The head of the mirror with gems looked like a Royal Crown,

If I could place it like a Queen does and accompany it with a gown.

Some were beautiful, some were utterly ugly ,

Few made me think, few made me scream roughly,

The piece which still hung from the hook intently,

Tried to show me my real self ,The Divine Soul incidentally.

I figured out ,why that truth speaking mirror broke,

Definitely that incident calmed me, up went the smoke,

The smoke of jealousy, desire and hatred made me choke,

But now I feel only love, flowing inside me to make him soak.
