Did you notice, how we wrap the mirror with a bunch of papers while moving to a new place? What's the purpose behind it?
Exactly! We want to protect the mirror from any damage, we don't want it to break! We handle it with utmost care. But sometimes, it breaks! Not because we weren't cautious enough, but because someone else struck the mirror. They might have done it intentionally, or it may be accidental. But what's left in the end is a broken mirror which has to be thrown away.
No, wait! Why we throw away the pieces of broken mirror in the dustbin and declare it worthless? And how those same broken pieces are used to make an art piece too, which has a worth of lakhs and crores and are kept in the museum?
It wouldn't be wrong if I say that humans are exactly like mirrors. Guards himself/herself when meeting new people with a shield of strong mind, gets comfortable to a point that they unveil their fragile heart, and then gets impaired either due to other person's unconscious mishandling or deliberate hurting.
Accept it or not, but every mirror, is going to be broken, at least once, one day or the other, or at least have some cracks, depending on how hard it has fallen. But in both cases, the beauty of the mirror will be lost to some extent. No matter how much you try to hide those lines, it would be noticeable. It is going to stay with you till the end, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it!
This is life, isn't it? You may think that you can control your life, and the fact is, YOU CAN!
Yes, you read that right! We can control OUR life, by OUR decisions, OUR feelings and OUR thinking! But it would be foolish to think that you can control what the other person brings to your table.
What's the best you can do is surround yourself with the right people. And trust me, it's not easy as it sounds. There is a very thin line which demarcates between people who will pick your pieces- all at once and throw it away in the dustbin, and the other ones who will take every piece in their hands, understands your story, bleed as they hold your sharp little edges, and arranges all your pieces in such a manner that will make your worth exactly like a gem in that old rich historical museum!
And while you are busy choosing the right people to be surrounded with, let me come close to your ears so that I can remind you, and of course, annoy you beautifully at the same time by screaming:
"YOU ARE A MASTERPIECE, An absolute effing MASTERPIECE! "
