Message For A Friend

There isn't much I ask for,

But an ear, when sadness knocks

When heart feels heavy and things don't make sense

I am there, just a line, and a promise,

that you don't go through it alone!

Steady like rock, a shoulder to lean

to wipe out the tears, that rolls from within,

not judge me, how vulnerable I can get

tell me instead, how to bounce back and head.

Show me my heights, cushion my falls,

Like a mute spectator

Clap for my triumph and hug me, when I fall.
