Melody of the Marine

By Jeetisha Dutt

Behold the river side’s glamorous view,

As the lily leaves shine with morning dew.

A scene from the tales of ancient lore,

Decks the horizon in a royal hue.

Hark, the sea god’s raging roar,

While the strong-willed youth renounce the shore.

Sailing through currents, riding astride,

Turning life around with a single oar.

A journey unending on a river so wide,

Whose crystal-clear water has nothing to hide.

A journey to fulfil what they aspire,

In moments of darkness their spirit is their guide.

The cascade surges along so they can acquire,

What’s every living being’s heart’s desire.

To experience pure bliss, tranquility true,

Like the soft flowing notes of a golden lyre.
