Unke liye sher o shayari karte the hum,

Unke liye panne bhi bhar dete the hum.

"Apne musafir ko kaise bhula di tum?" bola kambhakht ghum.

Kamal hai, jisne sirf kaanon ko hi nahi, apne dil ko bhi band kar liya,

Usse mohabbat kar baithe hum.

Jisne humari har khwahish mein dakhalandazi kar di,

Us shaks par dil hi nahi, dimag bhi kho baithe hum.

Gustakh! Humein apne khayalon ke saath akela mat chor,

Humein apne khayalon ke saath akela mat chor,

Hum unki yadon mein kuch kho jo jate hein,

Hum unki salon pehle kahi gayi baatoon mein doob jo jate hein.

Khamosh! Masroof hai humara zehen,

Apne humsafar ke khoj mein laga pada hai ek arse se,

Humsafar mila toh unke phool se nazuk haathon ko apni kaaton si berukhi se chuba diya, kho diya.

Aur saha nahi jata humse, Mehran.

Jald wapas aana,

Dil o jaan se intezaar karenge hum,

Tumhe phir se apnane ka mauka dhundhenge hum.

Door toh chand bhi hai, par usse bhi door hai humari woh khoyi mohabbat, fasle mita denge hum.
