Maybe In Another Universe

People say maybe in another universe,

We wouldn't have this curse.

And we would be together forever,

Without having to surrender.

But if there was actually another one,

I don't think we would have won.

You healed me only to break me harder than before,

This was enough once, I won't be able to handle it again

anymore.

So if the same fate had to be repeated,

And if again we would be defeated.

Maybe I wouldn't even have looked at you,

To avoid the heartbreak I had to go through.

That doesn't mean, meeting you I regret,

Cause our memories I will never forget.

It's jus to save myself and my future then,

In case of any adversities like you leaving me again.

But if there was universe another,

Where we would forever happily be with each other.

I would run in your arms faster than light,

And talk about our future all night.

Where we would together grow old in life's way,

And watch our hair turning grey.

But that wouldn''t change a thing between us in time,

Cause it's not just our hearts, it's not our souls that intertwine.

But I don't think there will be universe another,

And maybe this was our last chance to be together.
