MAYBE?

Maybe you’re meant to be the poet and not the muse to anyone’s poetry ?

Maybe you’re the writer never meant to be written of ?

Maybe you’re meant to be the artist and not the art ?

Maybe you’re the book meant to collect dust in the corner of the library and not the one people fight over to read ?

Maybe you’re the eyes meant for tears and not portraits ?

Maybe those brown pearls are meant to see love yet never seek ?

Maybe you’re the heart meant to love and not be loved ?

Maybe you dreamt a little too much,

Maybe you trusted a little too far ,

In your silent reveries ,you now ponder ,

It was all “deserved” supposedly…

Maybe it could’ve been like night and day,

If you hadn’t forbade to stay..

Maybe you’d realise your place as a mere alternate luminary skywards,

Whose failures now surpass the amount of times they moved upwards and onwards…

No! नहीं! نہیں! Non!Nein!

Maybe it could’ve been different if you knew you are the moon …

And not just another lost star in the cosmic plume ,

Maybe opulent parallels could be your reality,

If your naïve heart wasn’t trivialized by the envy-stricken chorus, in all its familiarity,

Maybe it could’ve been polar if thy incendium hadn’t been relinquished,

billowing embers thou hadn’t extinguished,

Only if she realized that stretching beyond their nebula,

Was the resplendence , the vastness of her own fabula…

Perhaps if ea never yearned for those chasing only the golden rays of her sunrise,

to gaze at the twinkle of her starry eyes…

Maybe It will be different.
