Marriage – So Divine

Standing on the verge of life

I am gonna be someone’s life

Everything new, rose –tinted

What? Will it be a marine drive???

Marriage- a word that always tempered me

I wondered, what it actually meant to be

Why it is so hyped, so horrified

“I will never marry” I cried

And now the time came up to decide

Happy that not many rituals my family follow

‘Standing in front of a guy”, with heart so hollow

I got chance to select the guy

Whomever I don’t like, I said goodbye

Time came to meet the chosen guy

Anxiety, fear, excite, my throat went dry…

Decent, smart, he stood with a calm posture

As usual, I was in complete torture

We ate, we talked

We shared, we walked

Mega things running in minds

So opposite, so different

Marriages are made in heaven, is it that divine???

I accepted him with all his excellence

He looked at me with eyes so intense

Accepting me with all my flaws

Of my appearance, I hope nothing he draws

Realizing the responsibilities, a marriage brings

With it are attached so many strings

I know it will be hard to thrive

But for the excellence I will strive
