Shades of Purple II

In a moment or two

I'll open my eyes somewhere new

Where a grand scenic city view

Stands outside my Victorian window

My embellishments of carved stones

Some are buildings, some studded jewels

Rest are tiny service fuels

For my Royal chariot to use

And there's a painting over my hearthside

Where a lady dances under the moon

Her feet were one with the sand

And the shine of her soul, crystal blue

I often wonder why I wonder

Who painted her hair fiery in lieu

Gazing deep into the skyline on that beach

Breathing violet morning dew

An undying pain rises in my chest

Telling me I should’ve been somewhere else

This luxurious animus psyche of mine

Calls me out to an enchanter's spell

The crystal Queen rules his heart

He adores her like petals of roses

But she's a lilac fire

Afraid to burn his lovely proses

There was no way of knowing

If his pain will ever end

For she's the ocean of uncertainty

And, darling, he’s shipwrecked
