MAMMA

GESKRYF DEUR: M E CORKER

Toe God gaan sit en begin dink,

Oor wat hy aan Sy kinders kon skenk,

Het Hy die allermooiste plan beraam

Om ons iemand te gee om ons by te staan.

Iemand na wie ons met probleme kon gaan,

As dinge te veel raak en ons oë net wil traan.

Iemand wat biddend op haar knieë sou bly,

Iemand om ons op die regte pad te lei.

Die mens wat hy toe in die lewe bring,

Was Godvresend, goedhartig en het van liefde besing.

Haar lewe ‘n oop boek om vir ander te wys,

Die weg na die Heer is maar net deur die kruis.

Kinders, kleinkinders en bure kan getuig,

Oor hoe sy haar lewe aan ander sal buig.

Voedsel en raad was nooit ‘n probleem wat te moelik was,

Om ander te help was vir haar, nooit ‘n las.

Mamma, jy weet seker dis van jou wat ons praat.

Die liefde en danksegging so vol in ons hart.

Vir die allermooiste vrou wat die Here kon gee

Om ons lewe te verryk, dis vir ons ‘n eer.

Dankie liewe Mamma, ons weet dat jy.

Somtyds alleen voel en aan pyne lei.

Maar ons het jou lief, jy sal altyd vir ons bly

Die mooiste, mooiste mamma, wat ons ooit kan kry.
