The strength of a woman she bears Like a typical Igorot lady Carrying a ‘tiklis’ on her shoulder she goes unfazed No mountain she wouldn’t dare; Small and sturdy, Slow and steady, Tough and persistent

The kindness of a woman she bears A cup of coffee, a bowl of rice The kind of warmth that seeps into the soul; Subtle yet remarkable, Simple yet stirring, Inexplainable yet understood

The love of a woman she bears Seldom uttered through her lips Always seen in her actions Ever so unconditional; Unspoken but heard, Soft but felt, Harsh but true
