Lust

Green dress

Eyes matching

I looked in the mirror and smiled

It wasn’t often that I dressed up

So this was the most beautiful I felt in a while

I saw a man across the room

He looked at me and winked

He approached me

I dropped my guard

And I let him in

He whispered to me

“Oh the things I would do to you”

I paused

And my heart began to sink

Oh to be loved and not lusted over

That was all I could think
