Lullaby of The Night

As the night grows older the moon shines brighter.

The stars start to dance to the wind’s soft singing.

The crickets harmonize to the whistles of the spirits.

When everyone is asleep, and you start to think of all the things you could have been.

The natural music starts to take over and you drift away.

Everything goes blurry but you feel peace and nothing more.

It feels like the air is kissing you good night

While nature sings you the lullaby of the night.

But when the sun shines the spell passes over

And what you felt the night before is no longer.

No matter what you do it won't come back

And all you can do is wait for the sun to say goodbye

And the night to sing you its lullaby.
