Loving Gaze

It’s the way you look at me,

Like you do not see anyone else.

The way your eyes fix upon me,

Like you see beyond all my mess.

“Look at the way he sees you!

Can you see the love in his gaze?

Look at his small and shy smile,

When he looks down on your face.”

I can hear someone telling me this,

But I honestly cannot comprehend.

What could it be that I have in me,

That you love me with no end.

I wish I can tell you every day,

That I love you with all my heart.

But for now, I guess I’ll follow your lead,

And let my loving gaze do its part.
