Lovers
By Mars Joil
The form of feelings is undetermined,
Things so unique aren't usually talked of,
How long they will last is indefinite,
But it's hard to rid yourself of love.
You pull and step all over it,
Yet, it still stays there nonetheless,
You put a stubborn lid over it,
Which only leads it to coalesce.
Some are used to this need,
Some need more time to adjust,
With caution, these souls proceed,
For love is a fall of trust.
There are rough patches in the field,
Yet, the flowers remain fragrant and untouched,
A powerful tool do lovers wield,
As they weed out the path with a hardy clutch.
"Nothing will ever stop us now!"
"Together, we are invincible!"
With honest smiles, they make their vow,
Their love is forever indestructible.
I applaud these lovers,
For they've found meaning in each other,
A multitude of sins love covers,
For they've promised their lives to one another.
