Love Was Born

when intimidation was mistaken for fascination,

love was born. love was born.

when an arrest was mistaken for liberation,

love was born. love was born.

a mirage made of masochist mindset

sometimes feels like an aesthetic time lapse,

sometimes rings like a rhythmic rhyme's debt,

sometimes strangles me to the darkest aftermath.

warm as an october morning, gently brushes my cheeks;

cold as an october evening, stabs my guts and flees;

i say "you're what you save" but all i could do is lose myself

and ask my lord to have and save me, save me. please.

unfathomably agonizing epiphanies in beige and brown

cozy heartbreaks and gory flashbacks sneak out and frown

at their fate to be in this miserable life of mine, oh prakriti!

i wished for a happy poem but your memory has poisoned me.

when man came to know about death and deception,

love was born. love was born.

when confusion was mistaken to be the solution,

love was born. love was born.
