Started to Glow was the sun,
she had just completed her run.
On the way back she found a box,
stuck was it between some rocks.
The box had a star small,
for the smooth box, it was a scar small,
Tried to open it with her might complete,
Still, she lacked the strength to compete.
The box had some suspense linked to it,
Its maker had put in its making a lot of wit.
So unique, so new, yet there was something familiar,
Familiar were the initials hiding well on its rear.
Those initials gave her a bump,
Her slow beating heart had now a jump,
It can't be that, her mind was made up,
Yet there was something stopping her abrupt.
The box had a slider near the words,
Sliding, it made sounds like birds,
There was a code, need of a pin,
out of nowhere came up a grin.
Her grin had been lost for a while,
A long ago was her last smile.
Yet somehow the box made her smile,
brought up a memory of this familiar style.
It was his doing, it was his way
Yet till so long how could it have stayed
Curious enough she decided to find out the key,
The key to open it must be somewhere nearby.
She tried and tried but all in vain,
This suspense was driving her insane,
She then thought of a new plan,
She had to confront the man.
She went to him and he just stared,
She then began as she knew he cared,
She asked him for the key,
She went on an interrogation spree.
Though silent she could hear him speak,
A smile was on his face, no matter how weak,
She then got a hint as she slid the box again,
This time her efforts didn't go in vain.
There were two jumbled words scribbled
“Ruoy Niahc” was what the words settled
She though for a while and slammed her head,
Then towards him she turned her head,
Demanding an answer was her glare,
Unfazed he just continued to stare
An idea came as he saw towards him
She ran towards the mirror, chances were slim
Your chain was what the mirror read
Inverted were the words as the reflection said.
In her chain there was a design,
Opening up it became a sign.
The sign was something like a key,
This was what he had said and she said I agree
Taking off her chain she then and there,
Slowly inserted the key as she stared
Click click... Was the sound it made,
Please let it be the key, she just prayed.
Pushing in the key she turned it around,
Click clack... This was the opening sound.
Finally unlocked she opened the box,
Greeting her there were some rocks
She knew that it can't be it,
She knew the sender's wit.
Beneath the rocks, was an envelope,
On the top right was the sign of hope.
Two hand holding together was the sign,
Below it said in a small font... Mine.
Opening the envelope she saw a letter,
This surely was about to get much better
Opening the letter she saw a writing familiar,
Started to read, an image was there.
The image was something not very clear,
Ignoring it she went on, reading it she had a tear,
It read of a story so familiar,
Ending of the short letter was near
.
With lots of tears she looked at him,
After all, the cause was also him.
The letter had a note in its rear
P. S. See the image in the mirror.
She turned it and got a major shocker
The image was an inverted sketch of her
Below the image read another note,
Find something below the box's coat
Under the coat she found a ring,
Sparkling inside was a unique wing,
She remembered he called her his angel,
He said my angel needs just wings to fly well.
She went next to him and tried to touch,
Something stopped her abrupt.
A mirror was what was blocking her way,
Suddenly the past came back with a sway
He was gone and gone for good,
She tried doing all that she could,
But God had different plans in mind,
He did something that wasn't kind.
Took him away from her,
She was left in tears,
One day he came back and he showed,
His wings as he became an angel of God.
He told her he'll watch over her,
Wherever she'll go he'll be there
Even today he saw it with a smile,
His gift made its way in his style.
A token of love from a life away,
His love for her didn't sway.
Because of God's wish he couldn't stay,
Yet his I Love you had found its way.
