Love Changes

There’re so many things that I cannot say, to take me back to that very first day.

Was it that moment or in between,

when I got to know the man I was seeing?

Something drew me in and pulled me down. Was it his eyes, his lips, or what I have found?

His heart was real, his words pure.

I never knew that I needed his cure.

I was going down a path I chose unhealthily, I needed to be saved from what I thought was destiny.

God saw me someplace new and somewhere I could be.

So he chose you and he chose me.

Never knowing I could be myself, it was you who pulled me down from that shelf.

I have the biggest smile on my face, you hold all the world in its place.

You’re my star in the darkest nights.

My sun at the peak of its heights.

How could I make you understand I’ve changed inside.

I’m really me when you stand by my side.
