I have always believed love to be a lifelong battle, that if you choose to love someone, you are choosing to burn. I have loved, and I have been left in a gruesome state countless times. By the end of all these wars, my heart became charred. I loved with a heart that with every beat it made, i smelt smoke from the ashes of my past. Now, with you, I smell roses. It doesn't hurt to have a heart anymore. And everything I believed love to be, you are not. I do not burn for you, I live for you. I have forgotten that to love is to suffer, because with you, to love is to rest. My heart has not asked of anything ever since I met you, except to keep being with you. I hope this fairytale does not have a happy ending, because nothing about an end to us could be happy. Stay with me, in this human life, and in whatever form we take after our tangible bodies have demised. There are few who have touched my life, none like you.
