Lotus

From the filthy mud

to an elevated bud,

The journey of a lotus

more divine than us.

This flower has always been a mystery,

Its life has been the most symbolic in history.

Struggling for attaining peace and prosperity,

The pinnacle of God’s creativity.

Starting as a seed deep in the soil,

Rising above it after weeks of toil.

As a circular piece of lush green foil,

Then blooms a flower from pinkish red coil.

There it grows in harmony,

Its nectar as sweet as a symphony.

Promoting the pond's well-being and health,

Standing tall above the water as a show of nature’s floral wealth.
