Lost, Yet Not Gone

I try to think,

but my thoughts drift like autumn leaves,

floating aimlessly,

caught in a silent breeze.

A hollow frame,

numb, yet strangely at ease,

suspended in time,

where nothing is what it seems.

No paths are straight,

only winding roads and whispering trees,

shadows stretch and flicker,

dancing in the night’s embrace.

Lost, yet not searching,

adrift in a dream I cannot name,

tangled in twilight,

and somehow, still at peace.

Your poem beautifully captures a calm, drifting introspection with gentle, vivid imagery.

Its quiet emotional depth makes the reader feel peacefully lost alongside the narrator.
