Lost In Whirlwind

Updated: Jul 16, 2025

By Ananya Bansal

Why am I like this?

I seem to ask myself, not knowing

What exactly am I like

Drifting like an aimless kite

Being pushed away by birds

Cursed at by the vehicle in front of which I appear

Loved by the kids as long as I cater

To their amusement

But in the end, I am cast aside

A missing piece of the puzzle, I sure am

But a piece which isn’t cared enough to search for

Perks of being a people pleaser-

You are liked by everyone

But in the whirlwind of your many personalities

You lose yourself

No one knows what I contain inside

For I myself don’t know

Who I really am

Am I whimsical or have an

approach that is practical
