Lost Dreams

The moon loved dreaming,

It’s dream was to witness the sun shining.

The moon questioned herself,

If it was even allowed to dream itself.

The sun was the dream of the moon,

Which the moon had to experience soon.

The moon thought it would just stay as a dream,

To witness the sun seldom gleam.

Eclipse it was when they greet,

Things that are not meant for anyone to peek.

The moon thought it was dreaming,

Watching the dream playing.

Just like that, the moon had to part-

It left with sorrow in its heart.

Since that day, it waited

It’s dreams filled with the sun, it hated

The dreams turned into nightmares now.

The moon wondered how?

Sometimes, dreams change-

To nightmares that’s strange.
