Lost and Found

By Keerthana BS

Let me shut my eyes,

For I can't see my words on the paper.

That should flow like a river and

Bloom like a flower.

Where is my bag of words,

The ones that can make a child smile and

Can make an adult become that child.

Have I lost it in the passage of time,

Gaining dust in a corner of my life.

How did I let this happen!

Like letting salt dissolve in water,

I let those words dissolve into emails.

Then came along warmth in a storm,

Just enough to light me a candle

And show my words,

Melting me down smoothly!

Now the words are set free,

Flying in the air, holding each other's hands,

Inspiration finding their way back into me,

And coming out as whispers,

As tears in my eye,

Right onto the paper.

Here they are now,

Liberated like a river and liberating like a flower!!

Midnights rock my cradle of words,

Sleep doesn't matter anymore.

For days are short for dreams and

And nights are long for trapping them in

My words!

Entire poem is lovely. Probably only poets could weave suitable words with such very fragile thoughts! The first and the last stanzas are extraordinary. I sincerely wish a bright future to this talented poet.

Beautiful. Let your liberated words flow like a river and bloom like a flower continuously. Keep it up. All the Best.
