Lost And Found

Lost in the woods, searching for the drive

Finding reasons to strengthen the strive

Seeking direction from the unseen guide

Every second and moment of life

Can I bring in the purposeful jive?

The glancing owl graced my question

Showered an answer with fragrance of clarity

Why bask in the glory of the known

Longing and chasing the missing in the neutral zone

Why not seek pleasure in ‘what is’

For all we know the future is unknown

And the present is a gift to seize.

Living each moment with wonder and awe

Welcoming possibilities being playfully raw,

Living with surprises and meaningful resonance

Seeking little joys with childlike innocence

Living a life of purpose doesn’t need to be big

Doing little things of love and meaning

Can be the next big gig!

To be where you are fully immersed

Watering your ground in order to grow

Take occasional rests in-between

And give yourself a surrendorous bow.

As you get rooted in life’s difficulty

You find meaning in the momentous serenity.

Dropping all that does not serve rather than carrying,

For every end brings forth a hopeful new beginning!
