Look what you have done

Original Submission by Divya Moodley

Look What You Have Done

God,

sometimes I think I should stop

and actually count the things

You have done for me.

Not because I doubt You,

but because lately

the blessings keep arriving

before I have even finished

thanking You for the last one.

A door opens

where I was certain there was a wall.

A prayer I whispered months ago

quietly becomes my reality.

Something I thought I had lost forever

returns in a different form,

so much better than I imagined.

And I catch myself wondering,

When did You do all this?

Because I remember the nights

when I thought nothing was changing,

when I prayed without knowing

whether anyone was listening.

But You were.

You were in the waiting.

You were in the silence.

You were in every unanswered prayer

I was too impatient to understand.

Now I look around

and see little fingerprints of grace

everywhere.

In the people You placed beside me.

In opportunities I never expected.

In the strength I somehow found

on days I thought I had none left.

Even the things that didn't work out

feel different now.

Maybe they weren't punishments.

Maybe they were protection.

Maybe every “no”

was quietly making room

for a “yes”

I wasn't ready to recognise yet.

And that's what faith has become for me:

not knowing the whole story

and trusting You enough

to keep turning the page.

I don't know what tomorrow holds.

But honestly?

For the first time,

I don't think I need to.

Because if this is what happens

when I place my life

in hands I cannot see,

then let me keep walking.

Let me keep believing

when the road bends

and I cannot see around it.

Let me keep thanking You

before I understand.

Because lately, God,

I have been looking at my life

with a kind of wonder

I don't know how to explain.

And all I can think is—

I asked You to guide me.

You did.

Look what You have done.
