Look Me In The Eyes

Look me in the eyes, tell me what you see

Espy through my fight & touch my bravery

I am not afraid for being vanquished or to lose,

But losing my own self is not what I can choose

I am not afraid of crawling ahead into the dark,

I just fear you won’t be able to trace my remark

I am not afraid of the empty rooms where I sit & sleep,

I just fear the emptiness in me that makes it all so creep

I am not afraid of staying alone, working by myself,

I just fear the loneliness hiding behind my bookshelf

I am not afraid of new beginnings with unusual episodes,

I just fear if I can apprehend its non-literal codes

I am not afraid of speaking In public page after page,

I just fear if I will miss you there on the stage

I am not afraid of playing with these office accessories,

I just fear being nostalgic if I catch one of our memories

Oh yes! It is brave enough to cry alone under the pillows,

But its scary to find no-one near you at your lows

New programmes & practices & patterns & routine,

My world is moving, only, where have you been!

When I said I am good & things are just fine,

What if I say I lied? What if I recline?

I do miss you around the clock, so what if I’m strong,

I need you in my fears, in my heart you always belong

So look me in the eyes, tell me what you see

Espy through my fight cuz you’re my family!
