Giving myself a second chance,

I look at the mirror.

She has zero faith in me.

This time will be different,

No need to scrutinize so intensely.

She tells me to redo my hair.

I sigh, doing as she says.

There is a bruise on her cheek,

Scar marks on her neck,

Dark circles under her eyes,

Her chest, heaving in pain.

Maybe she is right.

I should just skip today.

Go back to sleep.

Maybe Tomorrow she will feel better.

Maybe tomorrow I can turn back time.
