Lluvia

Oh rain, Oh rain
Oh, little drops of rain,
We all know what comes with you,
Blossoms and blissful days.
These little drops with heave force
The blessings from the Almighty they bestow,
Or might be the tears of remorse
Of the guilt they carry in tow.
In a city, how the drops of rain,
Slip down the windowpane.
Shrouding in grey, the sun at noon,
Muddling with the city’s neutral tune.
Coming down in fitful showers,
At the bank of a river, it blooms new flowers.
A soaking sedge,
A fading field, a leafless hill and hedge.
Here in the deep tangled forest all is quiet and still,
While far to the west the thunder re-echoes from hill to hill.
The hills are smothered in fog,
The sky is somber grey.
The rain is coming in a mist,
A gloomy rainy day.
Creeping in the pools across the street,
Clinging in slush to dainty feet.
As a famished man eats bread,
And the moans of the tree are hushed.
Dear heart, dost thou complain,
When the kind God sends rain?
Think of the blessings, think of everything,
Think-and Thank God,
For every drop that quivers and;
Falls on a clod.
