Living With Hidden Scars

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

By Shweta Verma

A little girl, sweet and cheerful

Happy in her own world as all kid do!

Was wronged by her loved one

Was wrecked apart

Poor girl was only left with scars!

The naiveness she had was all gone

In the moment her loved one did her wrong

Years pass by but the backlog remained

Hatred was shown to every man

None was close, no one was trusted

Men were heinous was deeply imprinted!

Then comes the one who saw her scars

Even when she kept up her guards

She felt vulnerable because she was so readable

The secret she kept for years

Was now known to a complete stranger!

He made her believe that scars are not uncommon

He got them too!

Hers was different from his, he knew

Drop all the baggage, he asked her to do

That isn’t easy, I know that too!

This battle has to be fought one day you know

People will keep deceiving and failing you

Face it now, please you do!
