Littlest Things

When I say I notice the littlest of things, 

It's not that I'd tell you if you have gained weight or lost...

It's not even that I can tell you how much that dress you are wearing costs.


When I say I notice the littlest of things,

It's not just that I can tell that of both the same goldfishes in my fishbowl the slightly smaller is Nemo and Dory the other... 

It's not just that I can look at you and tell you, you're not sad but true happiness is still farther. 


So, when I say I can notice the littlest of things, 

Trust me I can peer through your soul...

And as you emphasize the weather to mask the reality, I know your shivers are not because you are cold.


So, when I say I can notice the littlest of things,

Trust me darling intentionally or unintentionally you don't have to cover up things with lies... 

For when you are talking, smiling or laughing I can still notice those restlessly wandering eyes. 


And when I say I can notice the littlest of things, 

I mean when I ask if you are fine, before you say you are great, how unknowingly your lips you bite... 

And all those mornings you went on with your routine, I could see the tiredness in your eyes from the bedside battle you once again fought last night. 





All the times I say I can notice the littlest things, 

I mean the negative vibes or you pretending to be on my side... 

I smiled through it for I'm forgiving for the backstabbing knife but trust me love not because you fooled me or that I was naive.


All the times I say I notice the littlest things, 

Like how my parents nurtured my dreams without any of their struggles letting me know... 

Mom dad I knew it all, so some wishes I too tried to conceal but most importantly I'm just waiting for the day I'm on my feet so my gratitude to you I can endlessly show.
