Little Loving Girl

By Sonia Flodin

A little loving girl is coming home from

The hospital.

Fell in love with someone she never sees,

Behind the screen.

Bullied by her fellow peers, who never

Knew that she was so ill.

She got no comfort, and she’s given up,

And wanted to end it all by going for

The pill.

That’s no excuse, she should had stayed

Off her phone.

But she felt more comfort when being alone.

(… she should’ve went outside.)

Yet, she was forbidden from going outside.

(Her pain was not enough.)

All she ever wanted was to be heard

And loved.

What a shame, to our little loving girl…

Inner Child

By Sonia flodin

Dear inner child, your behaviour manifests

Within me. For what reason do you refuse

To descend from me?

Allow yourself to rest.

Your mates are no longer around to play with

You, would you prefer to be alone?

Rather than remain in the playground of my

Thoughts, I suggest you go home.

Maturity refuses to entertain your child

Like act.

But instead of calming down, you decide to

Misbehave further.

I am expected to behave more maturely,

Yet you refuse to comply.

Despite my age, moving forward, because

Of you, I’m forced to stay behind.

Your behaviour affects me, it slows me

Down.

Others can already look out for themselves,

They no longer need to be spoon fed.

Yet here I am, waiting for maturity to

Get in my head.

Allow me to grow, you’ve had your fun.

Sincerely I write to you, so enough.

HER POV

By Sonia Flodin

It has happened once again. Something

Beyond my control.

My heart beats in a much faster pace.

Clearly impatient.

He is so much more different, really different

Compared to me.

From his skin to his persona.

Someone who catches my eye, he… intrigues

Me.

He is soft spoken… does not speak as much,

Fools around here and there, but only with

His mates.

The way his presence opens my heart like

They were not chained gates.

He is a rose in a garden of daisies.

If I were given the opportunity, I would

Cherish him as a gardener cherishes the

Flower.
