Caption Of Artwork: This piece was created using multiple medias. I used air-dry clay, acrylics, aluminum, hot glue, and a metal hairband for the sculpture. For the painting I used acrylic and hot glue for a 3D effect. This piece is the representation of the aftermath of an emotional outburst. After the explosion of feelings, what little emotions are left, linger in the soul and I feel myself picking up those fallen pieces. However, it’s too little too late. I look at myself, the aftermath, uncomfortable that I am forced to face what I had pushed down and ashamed it’s out into the world for all to see. The droplets in the hand represent those emotions, while the hands represent myself and the clinging onto my feelings. The vibrant warm colors highlight the overwhelming and blatant exposure of honest feelings at their most authentic.
