Light of Strength
By Vishesh Kashyap
In the shadows of a fractured land,
Where freedom's just a whispered lie,
Women walk with trembling hands,
Beneath a bruised and tear-stained sky.
They say we're free, this land of ours,
But chains still bind the fragile heart,
For in the dark, behind barred doors,
Lies pain that tears our souls apart.
A woman’s cry, like shattered glass,
Echoes in the night’s cold air,
Yet justice slumbers, blind and deaf,
To the anguish she's forced to bear.
We march in rage, our voices loud,
But as days pass, the flames die out,
And once again, the world moves on,
Forgetting wounds that scream and shout.
In homes, in schools, on fields of war,
Her body, once a sacred ground,
Becomes a battlefield of shame,
Where silent screams know no bounds.
Her soul, like paper, torn and crumpled,
By hands that crush without remorse,
Leaves her spirit broken, bruised,
A fragile leaf swept by life’s force.
Is this the freedom that we sought,
Where terror wraps its icy chains?
A world where justice hides in shadows,
And truth is buried in silent pains?
Her eyes, once bright, now hollow wells,
Hold stories of a shattered world,
Where nightmares walk in daylight’s glare,
And innocence is cruelly hurled.
The scars she wears, both seen and hidden,
Are maps of battles fought alone,
Each mark a testament of strength,
Each wound a story carved in bone.
Her voice, a whisper in the storm,
Yet strong enough to shake the sky,
She carries hope within her heart,
Though every step brings a sigh.
Metaphors of shattered dreams,
Of lives unlived, of futures dimmed,
Her silence is a raging fire,
A storm within that never dims.
But change will come, it must, it will,
When voices rise and time stands still,
When courage speaks where fear once reigned,
And breaks the chains of this cruel game.
For every soul that bears the pain,
For every tear that fell like rain,
We’ll weave a future, bold and free,
Where every woman’s safe to be.
Her story is not one of despair,
But of a phoenix in the night,
Rising from the ash and dust,
To reclaim her stolen light.
In her, we see the strength to rise,
To speak, to fight, to claim the skies,
And in her victory, we find,
The power to leave the past behind.
So let the world take heed and learn,
From silent scars and lessons stern,
That no more shall we turn away,
From the light that breaks the darkest day.
In every heart, a flame will burn,
For justice, truth, and freedom’s turn,
And from her strength, a world reborn,
Where every soul can greet the morn.
Her battle cry, once drowned by fear,
Now echoes loud for all to hear,
A symphony of hope and grace,
That fills the world with love’s embrace.
No longer will her story fade,
In shadows dark, in silence laid,
For she has risen, strong and true,
To claim the life she always knew.
And so we stand, with her we fight,
To end the darkness, bring the light,
For in her strength, we all can see,
The path to true equality.
