Light And Dark

Darknes lies within us all,

sometimes it's silent,

but sometimes visible to all,

It's slithering fangs are embedded on our soul,

causing chaos and destruction is it's only goal.

Some are hiding it on plain site,

Some have have hidden it deep,

But it still peeks through the eyes,

Like a thief that visits again his crime site.

Oh, it also fears the light outside,

But we human have tendency to reject what is right in front of our eyes,

Hatred and prejudice are flowing in our vein like an age old wine,

We savour it all and use it to cause havoc world wide.

What it actually takes to casually pick a rock and throw it high,

Letting the blood flow like a river at the roadside.

What it takes to pull out the gun,

To let the devil whisper all his fun,

But the conclusion is always there,

The beginning of darkness never just ends here.

Because next day always comes,

It may take years,

But retribution for holding that stone and that gun will surely come,

We are stupid to fight the light,

Because no darkness is ever powerful enough to swallow the light and still survive.

Those with power to fight the inner demons are true heroes,

They don't wear cape or fancy suits,

But just simple people who stand up,

after falling down continuously from their sorrows, still fight and survive.

We should applaud for those who know to give true smile,

And still carry belief that everything is all right,

Carry the lantern of light high with your true heart,

Because darkness always fails when we have faith in ourselves and our God ...
