Life of a flower

They are these tiny things that came around

They are the brightest when the heat waves came along

Thriving to be noticed when there’s no one around

Praying for rain when it is dusty all around

Sometimes dripped in dew and wanting to be shaken down

But still emitting fragrance that is beautiful and strong

And that’s all there is to the life of a flower that’s ready to be cut down.
